Tasks help your team break work into small, actionable items you can create, assign, and complete, without ever leaving Lupa!


Where to Find Tasks

You’ll find Tasks in the Notifications space:

What You Can Do with Tasks

At a glance, Tasks let you:

  • βœ… Create tasks for yourself or teammates

  • πŸ“ Assign tasks and set details (title, category, due date, description)

  • πŸ”— Link tasks to a pet or client (when relevant)

  • πŸ“Š Track progress (Active vs Completed)

  • βœ”οΈ Complete or dismiss tasks when done


Creating a Task

  1. Go to Notifications β†’ Tasks

  2. Click New Task (or the βž• button)

  3. Fill in the basics:

    • Title: what needs doing

    • Category: whichever is applicable

    • Assign to: yourself or a teammate

    • Due date: optional

    • Description: add context or instructions

    • Link: to a pet/client if it helps the assignee act faster

  4. Click Create

Pro tip: Keep titles short and action-oriented (e.g., β€œCall owner about refill”). Use the Description for extra details.


Viewing, Filtering, and Sorting Tasks

In Notifications β†’ Tasks, you can filter to focus on what matters most:

  • Assignee: me, a teammate, or anyone

  • Status: Active, Completed

  • Category: External Comms, Prescription

  • Due date: today, this week, overdue (if available)

Updating or Completing a Task

  1. Click on a task to open its Task Details

  2. Review Description, linked pet/client, and due date

  3. When finished, click Complete

  4. If the task is no longer needed, choose Dismiss (if enabled)
