At the bottom of the Analytics page, you’ll find two advanced pivot table views: New Invoices Table and New Payments Table. These tables are designed to support more comprehensive financial and operational analysis, making them a valuable tool for practice management.
Accessing the Pivot Tables
1. Open the Analytics Page
Navigate to the Analytics section from the App Suite.
2. Toggle to Tables and click create new table
On the bottom of the analytics page you will see both The New Invoices Table and The New Payments Table.
How to use the Tables:
The New Invoices Table references the data in Lupa OS that is attributed to invoices. Some examples are date, VAT, Amount Paid, Status, and Client. In total there are 22 fields of data.
The New Payments Table references the data in Lupa OS that is attributed to payments. Some examples are Client, Amount, Date, Employee, and Status. In total there are 9 fields of data.
Start by checking the fields you want in the table view
2. From each field you can filter more precisely
You might for example only wish to create data by certain employees or species of animal.
3. Create Row groups to group data
Row groups allow you to group your tables by group. Perhaps you want to see what employees are creating the most invoices, for that you can group by 'created by'.
4. Use the Value function to further understand the data
The value function allows you to manipulate values. You can obtain the average, count, first, last, max, and min values of a field.
Turn the table into a Pivot Table
Pivot mode allows you to create a pivot table from your data. Start by clicking on the toggle that says 'pivot mode'.
This allows you to drag a field to make a column label.
You can add multiple column labels, if you wish to have a field as defined by another. For example, you might want to set 'species' as the primary column label, and then have that define 'category' of appointment.
Filter views, row groups and values work across both regular table view and pivot mode.
Download your data:
Once you're happy with what the pivot table is showing, you can export it, and it will be downloaded locally as a CSV-file to your computer, which you can access in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.
