How To Quickly Make a Note Without an Appointment

How to add a clinical note without linking it to a consultation

Updated over 5 months ago

There are times when you may want to document a clinical update without creating an appointment. For example, if a client calls to report that a pet has improved, passed a foreign object, or had a relevant health update. In these cases, you can use the Quick Note feature to log the information directly to the pet’s profile.

Steps to Add a Quick Note

  1. Go to the Pet’s Profile

Navigate to the animal’s page from the Pets section of the menu.

2. Open the Options Menu

In the top right corner of the pet’s profile, click the drop-down menu.

3. Select “Note”

From the menu options, choose Note.

4. Write the Note
Enter the relevant information you'd like to document. This could include updates, observations, or client-reported changes.

5. View the Note in the Timeline

Once saved, the note will appear in the pet’s Timeline, keeping the health record complete and easy to follow. Click on the name to edit the note!

Quick Notes are a fast and reliable way to keep health records up to date even outside of formal consultations. This ensures your team has a full view of the pet’s history, no matter how the information is received.
