How Clients Manage their Data and Communication Preferences

Client GDPR Settings

Updated over 5 months ago

Lupa allows clients to control their GDPR related communication preferences directly through the client portal and gives clinic teams visibility and control (with permission) from within Lupa OS. Here's how it works:

DPR Settings on the Client Booking Portal

Clients can manage their communication preferences when signing up or through the online booking portal. These preferences determine both whether they wish to receive marketing communications and through which channels.

  • During signup, clients are prompted to:

    • Opt in to receive marketing updates (e.g. discounts, news).

    • Choose preferred communication channels: Email, SMS, or Post.

If a client opts in to receive marketing communications, they must select at least one communication channel.

GDPR Settings in Lupa OS (Client Page)

You can view and, if permitted, edit GDPR settings directly from the Client Page in Lupa OS:

  • Marketing Consent: Toggle “Has signed up for marketing communications” to indicate if the client has opted in.

  • Communication Channels: Check the preferred options (Email, SMS, Post) to reflect the client’s choices.

Only users with the appropriate permissions can update these preferences within Lupa OS.

Critical Updates Toggle

A separate toggle labeled “Will receive critical updates” allows clients to continue receiving essential updates (such as medical or safety information) even if they have opted out of marketing communications.

With these GDPR tools, you can ensure compliance and give clients clear, flexible control over how and when they hear from you.
