We’ve simplified and improved the registration experience in the Client Booking Portal to make it easier for both pet owners and clinic staff to get started.
What’s Changed?
1. A Unified Starting Point
When selecting Register, users now begin by entering their email address. This helps us instantly determine whether they already have a Lupa account and guide them down the correct path.
2. Smarter Email Verification
Once the email is entered:
If the email is not registered, we send a verification code to confirm identity.
If the email is already registered, the user receives a prompt to log in instead of getting stuck in verification loops.
This small change removes a lot of confusion and prevents verification attempts from failing.
3. Clearer Choice: Pet Owner or Clinic Staff
After entering their email, users select whether they’re registering as a:
Pet Owner, or
Clinic Staff
From there, they continue through the tailored setup for their role.
4. Improvements for Clinic Staff Registration
We’ve made clinic registration more intuitive:
“Company Code” is now called “Clinic Code” to make the purpose immediately clear.
A helpful tooltip explains what a Clinic Code is and where to find it:
A Clinic Code is a unique identifier for your clinic. You can find it at the top of your Clinic page in Lupa OS or on the left side of the portal if another team member is already logged in.
A new toggle controls whether the clinic is registering for the first time or joining an existing clinic, ensuring the correct fields appear.
When logged in as a clinic staff member, your Clinic Code and details now display on the left side of the portal for easy reference.
