Lupa allows you to easily add prescriptions during appointments and manage refills from a pet's medical record. Follow the steps below to prescribe and update medication for your patients.
Adding a New Prescription
Open the Appointment Full View
Navigate to the relevant appointment and open it in full view.
Scroll down to the Plan & Invoicing section.
Click Add Product and type the name of the product you want to prescribe.
Click the Prescription icon next to the product name to open the prescription form.
2. Create or Refill a Prescription
Select Create new prescription to issue a new one, or
Choose an existing one and click Refill to renew it.
3. Complete the Prescription Details
Fill in all required prescription fields and add any relevant notes.
Click Save to add the prescription to the patient record.
You can now print a dosage label or a written prescription.
4. Review the Prescription
The new prescription will now be visible under the Plan & Invoicing section.
To print the label later, click Print next to the prescription name.
Viewing and Refilling Existing Prescriptions
Locate Past Prescriptions
Previous prescriptions are visible on the pet's Medical Highlights across Lupa.
2. Open the Appointment View
Go to any relevant appointment and scroll to the Plan & Invoicing section.
Click the Prescription icon beside the product.
3. Refill and Invoice the Prescription
Click Authorise to approve the refill.
Then click Add to Invoice if you wish to bill the client.
Select Add refill to save and complete the action.
