Lupa makes it easy for referral specialists to collaborate with other veterinary clinics. This guide will show you how to enable referrals and manage referring clinics and their vets.
1) Enabling Referrals
As a referral specialist, you can connect directly with other clinics using Lupa’s referral system.
Go to Settings, then under the Booking section, select Online Booking.
In the Professional Referrals box, toggle on Enable Referrals.
A referral sign-up link will be generated — you can share this with clinics to let them register easily.
Click Save to confirm and activate the feature.
2) Managing Referring Clinics
In Lupa, referring vets are managed as clients. A single clinic may have multiple clients (vets), and each client may have multiple pets registered under them.
To manage your referring clinics:
Go to the Clients section from the main menu, then select Clinics.
You'll see a list of all clinics registered via your referral sign-up link.
For each clinic, you can:
Click the arrow next to the clinic’s name to view its full file, including:
Company details (with their unique company code)
A list of clients (referring vets)
Pets registered under each client
Account balance (with an option to add payments)
Appointment history
Click the arrow next to a client to view their specific details: pets, appointment history, and account balance.
Click the arrow next to a pet to view its complete file — including appointment timeline, diagnoses, treatment plans, reminders, and notes.
