How to Add New Clients and Pets

Learn how to register new clients and their pets in Lupa

Lupa makes it easy to manage your relationships with pets and their owners. In this article, you’ll learn how to:

  • Add a new client and their pet

  • Add a new pet to an existing client

  • Quickly register a client and pet from the calendar

1. Adding a New Client and Their Pet

  • Go to the Pets section in the menu bar, then click on Clients. Clients are listed alphabetically, and you can search for a specific one using the Search button.


  • Click the Add Client button in the top right corner.


  • Fill in the client's details. Note: Each client must have a unique email address.

  • Click Add Pet to enter the pet’s details and link them to the client.

  • When you're finished, click Save to add the client and pet to your system.



2. Adding a New Pet to an Existing Client

  • From the Pets section, click the Add Pet button in the top right corner.

  • Select the existing client who owns the pet to link the new pet.


  • If the client hasn't been added yet, click Create Client and follow the steps in section 1 of this article.

  • Enter all the pet's details and upload any relevant documents.

  • Click Save to complete the process.



3. Adding a Client and Pet from the Calendar

You can also register a new client and pet directly while scheduling an appointment.

  • Go to the Calendar view and click Create in the top right corner.

  1. Under Search a Pet, click Create Client to register a new client.

  2. Fill in the required details for both the client and the pet. Only essential information is needed at this stage.

  3. Continue with scheduling the appointment. The client and pet will be saved in the system and can be found later in the Clients section.
