Calendar blocks in Lupa help you manage time more effectively. They can be used to block availability, assign tasks, or hold space in the calendar without interfering with online bookings.
Step 1: Create a Calendar Block
Go to the Calendar page.
Click the arrow next to the + Create button and select Calendar Block
Step 2: Name and Colour Code the Block
Enter a name for the block to describe its purpose (e.g. “Admin Time” or “Surgery Prep”).
Choose a colour to help visually identify it on the calendar.
Step 3: Choose Whether the Block Affects Availability
Use the toggle to control whether the block prevents bookings:
Toggle ON: The calendar slot will be blocked for online bookings.
Toggle OFF: The slot remains open for online bookings, useful for internal tasks or reminders that don’t impact availability.
Step 4: Assign People and Rooms
Add the employees and/or rooms this block applies to.
You can assign it to multiple team members or just one.
Adding a room is optional but can help with room-specific tasks or setup times.
Step 5: Set Recurrence
Choose whether the block is a one-time or recurring event.
If recurring, set how often it repeats and when it should end.
Example Uses for Calendar Blocks:
Weekly staff meetings
Reserved admin time
Equipment maintenance
Personal breaks
Surgery prep time
