🐾 Pausing Health Plans (Instead of Cancelling)

Updated over 3 months ago

Good news - you can now pause a Health Plan instead of cancelling it!
This means you can temporarily stop billing and benefits for a client while keeping their plan active in the background. Perfect for holidays, financial pauses, or pets on a short break.

🪄 What Happens When You Pause a Plan

When you pause a Health Plan:

  • The plan remains linked to the client and pet.

  • Allowances stop until you choose to resume.

  • The plan can be reactivated anytime with one click.

  • All history and benefits are safely kept - nothing is lost!

🐾 How to Pause a Health Plan

You can pause a plan in just a few clicks:

  1. Go to the Client Page.

  2. Select the Pet enrolled in a Health Plan.

  3. Click Edit Pet (or Edit Client, depending on where the plan is linked).

  4. You’ll now see a new “Pause Plan” button.

  5. Click it to instantly pause the plan.

💡 Tip: You’ll see a small “Paused” label next to the Health Plan, so you can easily spot which ones are on hold.

▶️ Resuming a Paused Plan

When the client is ready to restart, simply:

  1. Go back to the Client Page.

  2. Click Edit Pet / Client again.

  3. Press “Resume Plan.”

Lupa will automatically pick up billing from the next scheduled cycle - no need to recreate the plan!

🚫 What You Can’t Do While Paused

  • You can’t apply benefits to a paused plan.

  • The client won’t be billed during the paused period.

That’s it - a simple, flexible way to manage client plans without losing any progress! 🙌
